Ahead of all other sterilizer manufacturers, Fedegari was the first to operate a sterilizer by
means of a dedicated electronic process controller.
Today this is taken for granted, but in the early 1980s we kick-started an important and
revolutionary innovative spirit that changed these machines radically.
Developing a process controller in-house is a much harder choice than it might appear: one must have
learned and absorbed many specific skills, including in-depth knowledge of the machine and of its
processes.
For Fedegari, an innovation of this kind was a natural step forward: we have always been accustomed
to developing the most critical components directly in-house, and in early 2000 we decided that we
were ready to diversify our skills in this area as well. This commitment led to Thema4.
All this is far from trivial. It was not a mere matter of rewriting as “sterile” computer code
sequences of actuations to perform a process. Rather, it was a matter of developing an innovative
platform on which all present and future innovations could be introduced.
Developing a controller like Thema4 takes years of hard work and the courage to take the most
challenging paths. We chose to utilize all our sterilization know-how to offer our Customers an
otherwise unattainable level of flexibility and safety that only Thema4 is able to ensure.
Sterilization is a critical process, and any uncertainty can compromise the functionality of the
machine or, in the worst cases, the sterility of the load. This is why we have developed solutions
that are suitable to reduce the risks of excessively open systems in which any variation was
possible with suitable tools. Such a system in fact provides the user with no know-how from the
supplier.
Fedegari instead has always sought to ensure performance.
A Fedegari sterilizer is not a list of assembled parts. It is a blend of tradition, flexibility,
safety, originality, innovation and research: to ensure the highest satisfaction of our Customer.
Always.
